Adopt A Pet:
The Animal Shelter receives animals from owners who can no longer keep their pets, relatives when an owner has died, stray animals, humane organizations and animal control.
When animals are taken in, they very often have no medical history. If there is one available of medical aid and veterinary care has been given; this information is given to a new owner. The Animal Shelter cannot guarantee the health or temperament of an animal adopted from the Shelter.
Most animals are mixed breeds, but some pure breeds are available. Small dogs (under 20 pounds), puppies and kittens, pure breeds, and long haired cats are the most popular pets and seem to be adopted faster than a mixed breed dog over 30 pounds or an mix "alley" cat.
Please allow at least 30 minutes to visit the Shelter, view the animals and acquaint you with those who are available for adoption.
In order to adopt from the Animal Shelter you need a Drivers License or photo ID and are at least 18 years of age.
Minimum Adoption Fees are $50 for puppies. $25 for adult dogs cats and kittens. Pure breeds may be higher. Private adoptions may be available from our boarding population.
If you don't find what you are looking for, a want list is maintained at the front desk.
